We are working on a couple of projects in our Warehouse to better serve our customers.
We are in the process of installing "Pick Right", which is a computer software program designed specifically for Convenience Store Distributors, and customized for Capital Candy.
Our pickers will be wearing wrist mounted units which will have all orders sent to each picker wirelessly. Items will be scanned by UPC code, and each pick will be scanned for accuracy of both product and quantity.
We are on target to begin implementation on December 10, 2010. This will give us a major improvement in the accuracy of our picks, and will allow us to track the product from the pick through the delivery. We hope to have all areas of the facility on line by the end of February 2011.
We are also in the process of making major structural and system improvements to our cooler and freezer buildings, as well as the cooler loading area. This will make both of these areas more efficient for both picking and energy consumption.
